Felix Njiru

I was first ‘introduced’ to yoga and asana years ago when I stumbled across a book that belonged to my aunt. I can’t quite remember if I read it in the book or if it was all in my head, but I believed that doing the movements in the book would make me grow taller.
After seeing no change in my height after a couple of weeks, I lost interest in yoga and  asana.

Or so I thought. Here I am today, practicing and teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga as well as Pilates and Capoeira.

I am not any taller, but I believe I’ve gained some useful knowledge along the way which I feel priviledged to share with you all.  Peace”

Felix got his training in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga under the tutelage of internationally certified Ashtanga teacher, Sharon Moon. He is amongst the first certified Kundalini Yoga teachers in Kenya. His training was led by renowned teachers from Kundalini Research
Institute in collaboration with Yoga Teachers for Africa. Felix is also a certified Yoga Alliance teacher in Baptist Power Yoga and a certified Pilates instructor. He is also an experienced Capoeira player.

I am glad to welcome Felix as our special guest teacher in Sougia/Crete. He is a dedicated Ashtangi and  Kundalini practitioner. Felix will instruct in July 2017 and halfway also in August 2017 in Sougia.

Week 1:  Afternoon classes (4:00 to 5:30 pm)

A chance to experience different movement as we connect both body and mind

Monday: Kundalini Yoga

Wednesday: Pilates

Friday: Capoeira

Week 2 on Mon, Wed, Friday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 pm)

Asana Workshop- Core and inversions

Develop your core as you explore everything from crow to headstand,
forearm stand to handstand.

Week 3 on Mon, Wed, Friday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 pm)

Kundalini Yoga Workshop – Take a spiritual journey to the essence of
the infinite within you.

Week 4 Capoeira on Mon, Wed, Friday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 pm)

Introduction to the dance, flow and movements of the Brazilian dance/
martial art of capoeira.

Week 5 Asana on Mon, Wed, Friday afternoons (4:00 to 5:30 pm)

Exploring Jump backs and Jump throughs

A personal progression workshop to take yourself a step further in
your vinyasa flow.
